Stella’s newly released version of “Danger of A Stranger” is at Number 4 on the UK charts. The song gained so much attention during Stella’s recent UK tour that it just seemed to be the perfect time to release it again. “Danger of A Stranger” was a top 10 hit on both the country and pop charts in the UK in 1978. That year Stella won Great Britian’s Country Music Awards Most Promising International Act.
Stella joined Dolly in New York for the opening of the new broadway musical “9 To 5″ in which Dolly wrote all the music for the play. Stella said “The play was fabulous and of course Dolly’s music was spectacular. What do you expect when Dolly’s doing the writing?” Stella also said “If you are in New York be sure to see “9 To 5.” You know the poor thing needs the money!”

The Ladies of Country Tour rolls into Northhampton tonight and show time is at 7:30. Stella wants to thank all her fans that have come out to see her on this tour. It has been over 25 years since Stella has toured the UK but the fans love her just as much now as then. Stella has been swapping up her set list a lot from show to show. Yesterday was Mother’s day in the UK and Stella added Virtuous Woman to the set list. The band had never rehearsed the song so she told them she would do it on her own. However, the band could not stand it and had to jump in when they found the groove. It sounded great and the crowds loved it. Stella is performing two songs from her new Testimony cd and they are getting a great reception. Stella is going to add in a Patsy Cline song “Back In Baby’s Arms” tonight. Stella looks forward to seeing you at one of the remaining six shows on the tour.
