This was
the first solo recording of my career. I was working mostly gospel
music events, such as churches, "all night singings," and Christian radio
and television shows. The group consisted of my sister, Cassie singing harmony, Bobby Cox, singing
and playing piano and bass player and singer, Clayton Head.
This album
was recorded on a cold winter day. My Uncle Louis produced. My
Uncle Bill and sister Dolly dropped by and sang harmony on a couple of
songs. "Ragged Angel" and "Try Him You'll Like Him" were released as
singles and made the gospel music charts.
